Annabell Lisa is a French-American artist, illustrator, and writer. Born and raised in the mountains of France, she now lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Annabell paints and draws calm and peaceful illustrations inspired by the mountains she lives in. Annabell’s primary medium is watercolor, but she loves finding and using new art materials.

After teaching 2nd grade at a local arts-centered charter school for 20 years, Annabell decided it was time to focus on her passion for creating children’s literature and illustrations.

When she isn’t painting, Annabell makes costumes, designs and sells jewelry, gardens, and bakes sourdough bread. She has two fun kids, a fantastic partner, and a viciously snuggly black cat.
